Zapier - Online Automation Tool
Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your favorite apps, such as Gmail, Slack, Mailchimp, and many others. It allows you to create workflows, called "Zaps," which automate tasks and processes by connecting different apps and services. With Zapier, you can set up triggers and actions between various applications, so when a specific event occurs in one app, it can automatically trigger an action in another app. When a donor contributes through your website or fundraising platform, Zapier can instantly update your CRM, send a personalized thank-you email, and add the donor's details to your finance software for streamlined record-keeping. By incorporating Zapier into your daily operations, nonprofit organizations can significantly reduce manual work, enhance data accuracy, and improve engagement with donors, volunteers, and supporters.
Efforts Towards Women’s Economic Independence
In a world where information and technology shape the future, the Anudip Foundation shines as a beacon of hope for marginalized youth, including trafficking victims, fostering economic independence. Established in 2006 by Dipak Basu and a group of visionary social entrepreneurs, this Kolkata-based organization empowers deprived rural and urban Indian youth by bringing information and technology to their fingertips, unlocking their potential. Beginning in the Sundarbans region, Anudip's prototype training centers refined their approach with valuable feedback, creating market-aligned skills training programs. Their unique strength lies in a holistic approach, nurturing both skills and mindset through innovative teaching methods and blended learning.
Anudip's commitment extends to trafficking victims and specially-abled individuals through programs like SAVE and BEST, providing tailored support and opportunities. Financial sustainability was tackled through partnerships with Accenture, Microsoft, and Google, bringing not only financial support but also knowledge sharing. With over 85,000 trained youth and a remarkable 75% placement rate, Anudip has bridged the digital divide and transformed lives, recognized by esteemed institutions like the Tata Group, ITC, ICRA, HSBC, and mJunction. Their future goal is to equip beneficiaries with technology-enabled careers, creating a more equitable society.
Reviving the Water Ecosystem
In a heartening display of corporate social responsibility, United Breweries Ltd. (UBL) and the S M Sehgal Foundation have jointly inaugurated the rejuvenation of Hydalu and Tyagadahalli/Bettahalli water storage tanks in Nelamangala, Bangalore Rural, Karnataka. This initiative is part of Project Jal Sanchay, a CSR focus area of UBL, which underscores the importance of water conservation and sustainable community development. Nelamangala Taluka has a rich tradition of water storage tanks, which, unfortunately, suffered reduced storage capacity over time due to siltation. Through meticulous desilting efforts, these tanks have been restored to their vital role in providing water for domestic and agricultural use while replenishing groundwater.
This collaborative effort reflects UBL's commitment to "Care for people and the planet." By harnessing rainwater runoff, Project Jal Sanchay contributes significantly to improving groundwater levels and addressing water scarcity issues within the community. Ms. Anjali Makhija, Trustee and CEO of S M Sehgal Foundation, emphasized that this water conservation project not only enhances water availability but also establishes Tank User Groups for effective management of the water harvesting structures. This commendable endeavor signifies how corporations can actively contribute to the well-being of communities and the environment, making a positive impact that extends far beyond business interests.
