All India Disaster Mitigation Institute (AIDMI)

Digitizing an institution that has been working towards bridging the gap between policy, practice and research related to disaster mitigation and climate change adaptation for over three decades now.

Established after the 1987-89 Gujarat droughts, AIDMI has worked over the years to cover a total of 18 types of disasters in eighteen areas of India and beyond to nine countries in Asia.

Enhanced digital communication by creating a multi-channel footprint via Google Ads grants, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp Channel, Google My Business, Email Newsletters and utilized Generative AI to create diverse, impactful content, ensuring a consistent and engaging narrative across platforms.

Implemented cross-platform analytics for robust tracking and insights. Fostered a digital-first culture by leveraging technology grants, streamlining operations, and enhancing resource mobilization for greater community impact.

Results

AIDMI leverages Ad Grants, Generative AI, and digital communication through newsletters, social media campaigns on platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp Channel, Google My Business, and virtual events to enhance their research and advocacy efforts. Currently, over 75% of their users come from Ad Grants across 206 countries. Additionally, they reach thousands of subscribers monthly through their digital touchpoints. This strategy helps them engage a broader audience and effectively increase mission awareness. related to Disaster Management & Disaster Risk Reduction.

Their growing digital presence is building a strong community of supporters, increasing their visibility and impact. This helps communities and stakeholders become better informed through the latest research and publications, which in turn, is helping AIDMI strengthen its brand awareness and authority in the field of disaster mitigation and climate adaptation.
